The Kyosho "GOLD CELEBRATION EDITION" kit is both extremely rare - and highly sort after by Kyosho enthusiasts around the world.

Released to celebrate the sale of 100,000 Optima kits, Kyosho produced a stunning series of gold plated chassis components - and a special gold coloured box.

The kit is a totally standard Optima with a few exceptions. The wheels supplied with the kit are from the "Option House" range. These wheels are chromed Turbo Optima rims - with option house tyres fitted. As mentioned above - the main chassis components were anodised a stunning gold .......they really look superb.

Other than these minor details - the kit is a bit of a let down to be truthful. Not ALL of the option house gold fittings are included - only the basic chassis components. One can only surmise that the kit would have been just too expensive if all of the Option House parts had been included in the kit. There are not even bearings in the kit !!

You could make your own "celebration" Optima by purchasing the Option House "celebration" chassis set. Of course all of the other gold edition parts like shocks, drive shafts etc can be fitted if you decide to make your own.

This is the toughest NIB Optima KIT to find by a long way - and it stands proudly at the top of my Kyosho collection.

More details & pictures to come of my new built "full option house" Optima coming soon.
